| Introduction |
The Center for Legal Assistance to Pollution Victims is a non-governmental environmental protection organization established in October 1998 and managed by environmental law professors from the China University of Political Science and Law. The Center's mission is to conduct research on questions of environmental law, develop domestic and international exchanges, train environmental law enforcement and court officials, increase public awareness of environmental laws, improve enforcement of environmental law in China, and provide legal assistance and protect the rights of pollution victims.
