With the vigorous development of China's digital economy, Nike is committed to building a more intelligent, flexible, efficient and sustainable supply chain system to further improve logistics and operational efficiency and further accelerate digital transformation.

Based on the existing green logistics center, Nike built an automated storage and retrieval system (ASRS) in 2023, which covering area of 12,000 square meters and is 44 meters high. As the first Intelligent large-scale logistics and warehousing facilities in Suzhou with the largest single storage capacity and largest throughput in Asia, it will help Nike maximize the efficiency of logistics operations, better serve consumers, and support Long-term business growth.

The ASRS adopts innovative green technology and is powered by 100% renewable electricity, enabling convenient green electricity intelligent operation. For consumers, every order is more environmentally friendly and energy-saving than before.

In traditional logistics centers and traditional warehouses, it is normal to transport goods by various forklifts. In this way, the quantity of goods transported is large but the efficiency is low, making it difficult to support a large number of e-commerce businesses. The "Nike ASRS" uses innovations in software and hardware technology, and with the support of fully automatic digital access, shipping time can be calculated in hours, and can "automatically" process up to 20,000 consumer orders per hour, which enables more consumers to enjoy same-day or next-day delivery services.

At the same time, the construction of the warehouse also has a positive impact on cost control. From the perspective of storage costs, there are a total of one million storage positions here, which can accommodate 7-12 million items. The number of storage positions per unit area is five times that of traditional shelves, and there are no restrictions on fire separation. Nike can make full use of the internal space, increase product inventory, and greatly save storage costs; from the perspective of labor costs, the use of ASRS improves operational efficiency and saves the cost of manual operation errors to a certain extent. During periods of surge in orders such as Double Eleven and June 18, ASRS are also capable of responding to emergencies and e-commerce peak periods, maintaining stable service levels.

Green and high-quality development is an important strategic direction of Nike in the China market. As a key part of the business, Nike China Logistics Center will continue to build a smart energy and carbon management platform to optimize the entire life cycle carbon management service through real-time monitoring, timely warning, and target management, to empower environmental protection practices by digitizing.
