Data sources: U.S. state-level data are from the US EPA website, and Chinese provincial-level data are from the China City Greenhouse Gas Working Group.

Notes: The total GHG emissions for provinces in China only includes CO2 emissions and are estimated values, provided for reference purposes only. It cannot be used to carry out operations like addition.

Data source: The dataset builds upon data from China City Greenhouse Gas Working Group(CCG). Based on the available data for certain years, combined with the industrial structure and GDP of each province from 2005 to 2020, CCG develops a comprehensive numerical model to estimate city carbon emissions.
