On the 10th anniversary of the Paris Agreement, Friends of the Earth (HK) (FoE(HK)), in collaboration with the Chinese Research Academy of Environmental Sciences (CRAES) and the Institute of Public & Environmental Affairs (IPE), released the Global City Green and Low-Carbon Transparency Index (CGTI) at the UN Climate Change Conference (COP30). The inaugural CGTI evaluation systematically assessed 30 cities across six continents — including both international and Chinese cities — evaluating their performance in monitoring, supervision, and information disclosure across four key dimensions: environment, climate, ecology, and development.
