    Anchor of Stability: China's Role in Global Governance amid a Shifting World

    On the 10th anniversary of the Paris Agreement, the Chinese Research Academy of Environmental Sciences (CRAES) and the Institute of Public and Environmental Affairs (IPE) jointly released the report "Anchor of Stability: China's Role in Global Governance amid a Shifting World" at the COP30 United Nations Climate Change Conference. This report systematically illustrates China’s steady advancement toward its dual-carbon goals and its strategic commitment to green development amid severe global challenges in climate action. Domestically, China has pursued coordinated progress in carbon reduction, pollution control, ecological expansion, and economic growth, promoting large-scale renewable energy deployment and the electrification of the economy. Internationally, through the export of high-quality renewable energy technologies, electric vehicles, and power batteries, China has contributed actively to the world’s green and low-carbon energy transition and the global response to climate change.
