In the past three years, government departments at all levels have made great progress in water environment monitoring and water quality information disclosure, but there are still many shortcomings. To confirm the status of water quality information disclosure across the nation and further promote the disclosure of water environmental quality information, IPE developed WQTI based on the requirements of relevant regulations and the need to protect the public's right to know about the environment, and evaluated the status of water quality information disclosure in 2018-2019 for key cities of national environmental protection, forming 120 key cities of environmental protection, scoring and ranking them.
