In order to help civil organizations devoted to water source environmental protection become familiar with water source management policies and regulations, master basic survey methods and content, form more scientific and systematic survey data, and provide independent third-party survey results with reference value for water source management and research, Changsha Green Xiaoxiang Environmental Science Center (hereinafter referred to as Green Xiaoxiang) and IPE jointly developed the "Water Source Information Disclosure and Environmental Management Status Assessment Index System" and the accompanying operational guidelines based on national regulations, standards and policies related to water source protection, combined with many years of experience in drinking water source surveys and assessment standard development. During the development process, we have received a lot of support from research scholars, government officials, water supply industry practitioners and environmental NGO partners, and we would like to express our deepest gratitude. We look forward to working with our partner organizations to continuously optimize the assessment methodology, improve the quality of the assessment, expand the scale of the assessment, and promote the participation of multiple parties in the protection of drinking water sources to jointly safeguard our lifelines.
