In response to the recent calls for lifting the ban on fireworks, we hope that local authorities, while respecting traditional customs, will carefully assess the situation and make prudent decisions. Potential issues, such as spikes in the air quality index, noise pollution, littering from firework debris, and public safety risks—including fire hazards—need to be addressed.
