Based on monitoring and information releases conducted primarily by ecological and environmental authorities alongside multiple government departments, legally mandated and voluntary corporate disclosures, and crowdsourced data generated through public and civil society participation, this initiative leverages environmental big data to objectively analyze cities' efforts in addressing climate change, improving environmental quality, expanding green spaces, enhancing ecological quality, and achieving green, high-quality economic development. It measures and reflects cities' progress and achievements in green and low-carbon transformation and the construction of beautiful China. Through continuous index evaluation, we aim to identify gaps and best practices, promote mutual learning and benchmarking among cities, and contribute to achieving the goal of building a Beautiful China.
