In September 2024, Apple released the new carbon-neutral Apple Watch Series 10. We studied Apple's Environmental Product Reports, Supplier Code of Conduct, Environmental Progress Report, and People and Environment in Our Supply Chain: 2024 Annual Progress Report alongside our observation over Apple's green supply chain performance over the past year and identified several positive actions.

Apple announced its first ‘carbon neutral’ product, triggering five questions.

To guide enterprises to reduce carbon and pollution and achieve low-carbon transformation, IPE and Lvse Jiangnan developed the Corporate Pollution and Carbon Reduction Index in 2022, and carried out quantitative evaluation for iron and steel A-share and H-share listed companies for two consecutive years. The 2023 evaluation shows that under the guidance of China's "dual carbon" goal, the "1+N" policy system and a number of industry-specific policy standards, coupled with the needs of the EU carbon tariffs, the Chinese steel industry are accelerating their climate action and environmental governance. On the other hand, there are still shortcomings in the synergy of carbon and pollution reduction. IPE thus calls for multi-stakeholders to collectively undertake their responsibilities to promote the green transformation and sustainable development of China's steel industry.

IPE, SEE Foundation and Green Supply Chain Action in China's Real Estate Industry co-released the 2022 Real Estate Green Supply Chain CITI Evaluation.

In September 2022, IPE publishes Index for Synergic Efforts for Pollution Control and Emissions Reduction. Working with Lvse Jiangnan , IPE also conducted and released report featuring the performance of iron and steel companies listed in China's A-share market.

In order to comprehensively review the current practices of waste incineration plants fulfilling their social responsibilities, Wuhu Ecology Center and IPE conducted an observational study on the environmental information disclosure of 582 waste incineration plants through their official websites and other sources during the period from 2019 to November 2021composed this Observation Report on the Environmental Responsibility of 582 Waste Incineration Plants in China.

In 2022, Tesla CEO's high-profile response related to ESG ratings sparked widespread concern. However, Tesla has once again fell silent in the face of specific questions from environmental groups about pollution issues in its supply chain in China.
