    IPE 2022 Annual Report

    A Decade of Remarkable Efforts, Earning Global Recognition. Today, China stands at a new milestone in the fight for blue skies. IPE has released the report Blue Sky Roadmap: A Decade of Change - 2030 Outlook, outlining plans to further enhance the Blue Map for Zero Carbon. In collaboration with our partners, we will refine regional and corporate dual carbon indices, develop digital tools for corporate carbon accounting and product carbon footprints, and promote green lifestyles such as waste sorting and plastic reduction. We aim to help all sectors of society seize opportunities and drive structural adjustments and green development through climate actions, significantly improving environmental quality. Together, we can build a beautiful China with blue skies, green land, clear water, and harmonious coexistence between people and nature.

    IPE 2021 Annual Report

    In the context of dual carbon, IPE leveraged its long-standing experience of environmental data analysis, as well as IT and mapping technologies, and refocused its efforts in 2021 to building carbon data infrastructure and developing digital carbon management and carbon reduction solutions. In particular, IPE upgraded the low carbon map to the Blue Map for Carbon, which showcases climate and energy data at the global, provincial, municipal and corporate levels. IPE also cooperated with China Academy of Environmental Sciences to develop China's provincial and city-level carbon neutrality index and conducted the first annual evaluations.

    IPE 2020 Annual Report

    2020 is the closing year of the three-year pollution control campaign. Through daily follow-ups of environmental data, IPE is pleased to see the positive progress made in ecological and environmental protection over the past year, and in the meantime feels the public's higher expectations for a better environment. In the coming year, IPE will continue our efforts to assist all societal sectors to make good use of the environmental data, promote green recovery of the economy and society after the pandemic, guide the public to green consumption and green life, and jointly build a beautiful home with blue sky, clear water and green land.

    IPE 2019 Annual Report

    Since the Environment Day in 2018, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment has proposed the theme of "Beautiful China" to promote the multi-stakeholder participation in the construction of ecological civilization. In the three-year battle for blue sky, pollution prevention and control, this theme has been widely accepted. And as an organization that aims to promote information disclosure and multi-stakeholder participation in ecological environmental protection, IPE has moved forward and made new progress along this line in 2019.

    IPE 2017 Annual Report

    In 2017, the Institute of Public and Environmental Affairs entered its second decade. Over the past 10 years, we have continuously promoted comprehensive information disclosure and multiplied the number of environmental data records. We have upgraded the Blue Map over time, moving toward more real-time sharing of environmental information, and actively expanded cross-sector applications of the Blue Map database, using the platform to strengthen corporate oversight. At the onset of the next 10 years, we remain true to our initial vision and carry the same mission of defending clear water and blue skies.

    IPE 2016 Annual Report

    From 2006 to 2016, IPE has grown from scratch into a full-fledged institution, witnessing a remarkable transformation in the development of China's environmental governance. IPE's staff have expended much effort and sweat in pushing for environmental information disclosure, promoting multi-stakeholder participation, spurring emissions reductions and guiding green development -- but their efforts have also brought about significant progress and recognition.
