It is recommended that local authorities urge compliance companies, which still need to complete information disclosure, to promptly disclose carbon emission data under the Carbon Emission Trading Management Measures.

With the acceleration of urbanization and the transformation and upgrading of the economic structure, the transportation industry has become a fast-growing sector of urban GHG emissions. Road transportation is the primary contributor to urban transportation CO2 emissions. Air transportation is one of the four major transportation sectors and the fastest-growing sector in CO2 emissions. As such, we have launched the Transportation Carbon Emission Map. Due to the pandemic's outbreak, control measures have been strengthened in many places, with static management being implemented in areas with more severe outbreaks, such as Jilin Province and Shanghai. These control measures have led to a reduction in travel, especially significant in intercity air traffic. So, how much has reduced travel led to decreased carbon emissions? We conducted a data analysis using the Transportation Carbon Emission Map.

The "Chinese City Carbon Peak and Carbon Neutrality Index Summary Report(2020-2021)" was released recently. Through a comprehensive evaluation of climate ambition, low-carbon status, and emission reduction trends, it was confirmed that among the 110 key cities involved in the initial evaluation, eastern developed cities such as Beijing, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Shanghai, and central and western cities such as Wuhan and Chengdu are leading the national "dual carbon" action.

Through a comprehensive evaluation of climate ambition, low-carbon status, and emission trends, the results show that after the launch of the national "dual carbon" strategy, eastern developed provinces and cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangdong are leading, while Sichuan, Henan, and Chongqing in the central and western regions are also showing a positive trend.

October 21, 2021 – IPE released the first Corporate Climate Action Transparency Index (CATI) at the 2021 Green Supply Chain & Climate Action Forum. The report highlights that the dual carbon targets have motivated local and global companies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions across its value chain.

Considering the current state of climate information disclosure by A&H-listed companies and the significant and unique economic implications of climate information disclosure, we analyze the motivations behind climate information disclosure and the relationship between disclosure quality and corporate performance.
