PRTR Disclosure

Pollutant release and transfer register (PRTR) data disclosures refer to enterprise publicly disclosing potentially hazardous chemical substances and/or other pollutants released into the air, water and soil and transferred off-site for treatment and disposal, as well as biodiversity impacts.
PRTR data disclosure enables enterprises track resource use, pollutant discharge and ecological impacts and improve performance and information transparency. PRTR data also enables the governments, purchasers, financial institutions, investors, and the public to gain a comprehensive understanding of enterprises’ environmental performance and to empower multi-stakeholder participation in ecological and environmental protection.

Procedures:
  • Register a corporate user account on the Blue Map Database;

  • Once logged in, go to “My Green Choice”, click on “Data Submission and Tracking” - “PRTR and Carbon Disclosure”

  • Disclose pollutants in wastewater and exhaust gas, solid waste, and biodiversity impacts, and provide supporting documents;

  • IPE will review the data and documents and help enterprises to publicly disclose PRTR data.

Carbon Disclosure

Carbon data disclosure refers to the public reporting of an enterprise‘s carbon management mechanism, greenhouse gas emissions, carbon footprint, climate targets and progress, emissions reduction, and carbon assets.
Measuring and disclosing greenhouse gas data is essential for enterprises to identify emission hotspots, set science-based targets, and accelerate low-carbon transition. By increasing information transparency, enterprises can demonstrate their proactive climate action to stakeholders and increase market competitiveness. The disclosure of carbon data also enables governments, purchasers, financial institutions, investors, and the public to participate in global climate governance and contribute to the “race to zero”.

Procedures:
  • Register a corporate user account on the Blue Map Database;

  • Once logged in, go to “My Green Choice”, click on “Data Submission and Tracking” - “PRTR and Carbon Disclosure;

  • Disclose the greenhouse gas emissions, climate targets and progress, carbon intensity, energy consumption, carbon assets, and provide supporting documents;
