Vitasoy has consistently promoted the recycling and reuse of beverage cartons through practical actions. From eco-friendly design of product packaging to post-consumer packaging recycling and regeneration, from campuses to communities, Vitasoy actively builds an environmental protection ecosystem and contributes to the circular economy.
During the product packaging R&D stage, Vitasoy has always adhered to the core concept of sustainability. 100% of the paper cartons are made from Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified paper, endowing each carton with an "environmentally friendly attribute" from the source. Moreover, Vitasoy also pays close attention to the recycling value of post-consumer paper cartons and has become one of the first enterprises to use the recyclable logo launched by CRIC, contributing to the development of packaging recycling and circular utilization in the industry.
In the autumn of 2022, Vitasoy joined the "Shenzhen Campus Beverage Carton Resource Recycling Campaign" as a long-term partner. It provided special recycling bags and product rewards, and organized experts to conduct a carbon verification for the beverage carton recycling, as well as collect basic data across recycling chain.
The beverage cartons from schools are transported by dedicated fleets to temporary district storage points, then unified to the municipal storage point, and finally sent to recycling plants.
As of November 2024, over 1,800 schools have participated in the recycling program. More than 100 million post-consumer paper cartons have been collected over three years, ultimately achieving a traded carbon emission reduction of 1,232 tons. This program has not only provided experience for waste reduction and classification efforts but also explored and established a complete recycling chain for low-value recyclables.
Vitasoy's beverage carton recycling efforts do not stop at campuses. At the end of 2024, Vitasoy joined hands with Aihuishou, an internet recycling enterprise, to launch the "Reunite with Cartons, Sail to New Life" green environmental protection campaign, where consumers could redeem eco-friendly gifts by recycling 0.5 kilograms of beverage cartons. In June 2025, it further upgraded the campaign in collaboration with upstream and downstream partners including TetraPak China and Hema, offering recycled gifts and drinks as rewards, allowing more people to experience the joy of "turning waste into treasure".
Nowadays, the sustainable recycling and resource utilization of beverage cartons have become an inherent requirement for all sectors of society to promote green, circular and low-carbon development, as well as a key issue for the industry to achieve green transformation. In the future, Vitasoy will continue to work with partners to explore and summarize sustainable and replicable recycling and utilization models, promote the resource utilization of post-consumer beverage cartons, and continuously contribute to the development of circular economy.
