Building a green supply chain cannot rely on a single company alone, but requires collaboration throughout the entire industry chain, and in this regard, Vitasoy has made many efforts.
First of all, I would like to thank the policy guidance from our government. In recent years, there has been increasing communications about environmental compliance, carbon peaking, and carbon neutrality. We have truly felt that our suppliers' understanding of the importance of these issues has improved year by year, although they are still exploring how to implement and execute them.
Therefore, the first thing we do is to help them move from “knowing it is important” to “knowing how to act.” For example, we invite suppliers to participate in the series of trainings by IPE, and we also organize special trainings on how to improve their ESG performance.
In the first half of 2025, we have already completed the carbon inventory for 3 suppliers and helped them formulate their carbon management plans.
Starting since 2025, we have also introduced third-party ESG audits, hoping to help suppliers identify weaknesses in their ESG management and make continuous improvements.
Throughout the whole process, we maintain close communications with our suppliers, because we believe that only by working together can we truly achieve sustainable development.
In building of a green supply chain, we consistently focus on the environmental impact of our products throughout their entire lifecycle. As a consumer goods brand, the recycling and reuse of packaging after consumption is one of our main priorities. Years of experience have also shown us that broad consumer participation is essential to improving the recovery rate of packaging waste.
Vitasoy was the first company in the industry to use the officially-endorsed recycling icon on its products, and we also promote recycling through various channels, encouraging consumers to dispose of cartons in recycling bins after consuming the products.
Vitasoy has supported the Shenzhen campus beverage carton recycling program for four consecutive years, making it a key initiative to raise students' awareness of waste sorting in schools.
Since 2024, we have also partnered with the LOVERE Recycling platform and some retail customers to jointly explore new approaches to recycle beverage cartons in communities. For example, we leverage LOVERE recycling machines to set up beverage carton collection points in shopping malls and communities. We also leverage our partners' digital platforms to improve recycling efficiency and offer carbon points and product coupons to attract community residents to participate.
We hope to invite more consumers to join us and contribute together to improving the recycling rate of beverage cartons in China.
