Potential issues, such as spikes in the air quality index, noise pollution, littering from firework debris, and public safety risks—including fire hazards—need to be addressed. Developing science-based risk management strategies that adhere to the rule of law is crucial to balancing and meeting the diverse needs of society.

Over the past decade, China has made significant strides in tackling air pollution. Today, the country is embarking on a new phase in its battle for blue skies, with a fresh roadmap unfolding. Looking ahead, we hope to see greater collaboration among the government, businesses, and the public, building on the successful experiences of the past decade in air pollution control, underpinned by comprehensive monitoring and information disclosure. We also look forward to multi-stakeholders leveraging the momentum from the dual carbon targets to drive structural adjustments and low-carbon transitions, actively promoting the synergistic reduction of pollution and carbon emissions. This will ensure improved air quality and the achievement of high-quality carbon peaking before 2030. These efforts will not only contribute to the construction of a Beautiful China but also enable China to offer its wisdom and strength to the global effort toward a cleaner, more beautiful world.
