To strengthen the management of the supply chain’s impacts on the natural environment, ASUS has adopted the database maintained by the Institute of Public & Environmental Affairs (IPE) to identify spatial correlations between suppliers’ operational sites and biodiversity-sensitive areas.
In 2025, two suppliers were identified to be located close to key wetland ecosystems and designated as priority management targets. Supplier A operates in Zhongshan, Guangdong, adjacent to Cuiheng National Wetland Park; Supplier B is situated near Jiaoganghu National Wetland Park.

Given that their production facilities lie in proximity to ecologically sensitive zones, ASUS has required these suppliers to establish systematic management mechanisms including: developing biodiversity management systems and enhancing communication and information disclosure.

AUPUP in collaboration with IPE, aims to enhance suppliers' awareness of environmental compliance management and reduce the overall environmental protection risks in the supply chain. In 2023, AUPUP conducted environmental compliance screenings for 420 key suppliers, identifying 170 suppliers with room for improvement. By the end of the reporting period, 37 suppliers had completed their rectifications, and 133 are scheduled to complete rectifications within 2024.

Commissioned by Vanke, AUPUP will carry out regular quarterly environmental compliance reviews for suppliers in the future. Suppliers with identified issues are required to disclose the causes and rectification status on the IPE website and are mandated to make timely corrections to ensure environmental compliance.

We explicitly state in our Vendor Compliance and Operating Standards that all suppliers are required to adhere to all applicable laws and regulations of the regions where they operate, including, but not limited to, the local environmental standards. Since 2015, Carrefour has been working with the IPE to collect environmental data from its suppliers and identify any non-compliance with local legal requirements (documentary checks such as the “environmental permit”, and air and water pollution levels). Carrefour publishes a list of its textile suppliers on the IPE platform every year and collects environmental data from its subcontractors to identify potential environmental non-compliance. These are followed by corrective action plans. In 2024, 598 assembly units, i.e., around 80% of Chinese production plants in the textile and hardline sectors, were audited against the IPE benchmark. A total of 33 key textile dye houses were also audited and added to the IPE database. Six alerts were identified in all, representing approximately 1% of sites audited.

A total of 152 suppliers have disclosed PRTR data for two consecutive years, cumulatively reducing industrial waste by 16,000 tons and hazardous waste by 25,000 tons.
